THE STORY

Nov 11th, 2013 – Pop Artist Perry Milou presents to Sopranos star legendary actor TONY DARROW at the Grand VIP Opening of Angelo Lutz’s newest restaurant endeavor KITCHEN CONSIGLIERE in Collingswood, New Jersey. The evening also featured a powerful unveiling of the Milou’s mural masterwork “Tony’s Last Linguine”.  Also at Kitchen Consigliere’s opening event were Food Network Star Marc Summers as well as restaurant proprietors Nick Triolo of ARA FOODS INC, Anthony Maglio of famed Maglio Sausage of Philadelphia and Keith Jenke, Marc Gonsalves.

THE EXPRESSION

Kitchen Consigliere is a mafia themed Italian restaurant.  The food is excellent and the ambience is a right out of your favorite ‘scene from an Italian restaurant’.  I was contracted to create a mural masterwork on the wall above the banquette.  Titled “Tony’s Last Linguine”, the mural combines real life mafia members (and Kitchen Consigliere associates!) alongside mob movie heroes and television Dons.  Food is a huge factor in Italian culture, something classic mafia movies carefully detail.  “Tony’s Last Linguine” is the last supper of cultural icon Tony Soprano, surrounded by a wolf pack of ‘real’ and ‘reel’ counterparts.  Milou’s mural is a decorative hit and intriguing depiction.

Milou was excited at the opportunity to meet and paint mob movie star Tony Darrow at the event.  Darrow is best known for his roles in mafia movies and television had roles in such epic flicks as:  “Goodfellas”, “The Sopranos” and “Analyze This”.  The mafia movie star can now add having an  original Milou Pop painting to his roster of accomplishments!

THE CONCLUSION: PERRY MILOU PRESENTS TO SOPRANOS STAR

The incredible evening drew rave reviews as Angelo Lutz launched his latest culinary endeavor. The evening, filled with art, food and friends, was an Italian cena (dinner party) at its finest!  Milou’s credited masterwork mural, “Tony’s Last Linguine” can been seen in the background of the featured image.
